Egyptian Ibis
Late Period, 664 – 332 BC
Bronze with maroon, green and black patina. The bird, depicted in an elegant posture, places its left leg forward in a crotch position. Around its neck it wears an amulet on a ribbon.
Dimension: height: 6,1 cm, length: 6 cm, width: 2 cm
Condition: One claw on the left foot is missing, otherwise intact and very nicely preserved.
Provenance: Collection Jean Philippe Mariaud-de Serres, Paris, acquired before 1983.
