Attic black figure Skyphos

ca. 530 BC

On side A a standing lion turning his head back, his mouth open and striking out his tongue, his tail in curls. On side B an undressed youth running to the right with wide steps. Left and right of the figures a large palmette, under the handles a lotus bud.

Dimension: height: 9 cm, diameter: 14 cm, width: 19,5 cm

Condition: On side B at the edge a small fixed crack. Some losses of glaze at the arms and head of the youth retouched. Apart from that in excellent condition.

Provenance: Art Trade United Kingdom, before 1990.
