Attic Lekythos
1st third of the 5th century BC.
Cylindrical body with flat shoulder and torus foot. The entire surface is covered with a deep black, high-gloss varnish. Only the top of the muzzle, the rim and the underside of the foot and a narrow strip at the base of the neck are left in a clay-ground orange-red. A magnificent, very carefully potted example with a perfect glossy coating.

Condition: A few very carefully restored cracks in the upper part of the body. Very freshly preserved surface with a deep black gloss.
Provenance: German private collection, since the 1980s.
